The "Captains Quarters" is a 2nd floor 2 bedroom apt within the historic Sail Loft building. Many of the original details of this beautiful building have been preserved with modern updates for your comfort. 

The Captains Quarters is a sun filled apartment with beautiful ocean breezes! Literally steps from everything- beaches, restaurants, and shops.

Our central location offers all the amenities but is just far enough away from the hustle and bustle so you can relax!

 

The amenities:
we provide guests with shampoo, conditioner, body wash. We also provide clean linens based on the number of guests in the booking. 4-6 towels will be provided based on the number of guests (max 4 per booking). Clean sheets will also be provided.

Guests will have the apartment on the second floor . You will have the apartment to yourself with its kitchen, bathroom (shower), 2 bedrooms (with AC), living room and small balcony. The apartment has a smart TV and Wifi.

There will be a key code lock for entry to the apartment. I will be available for any questions you may have, and will be attentive to your needs. Generally you won't see me unless you ask to.

Bearskin Neck is an artist's colony that features many galleries and shops from local artisans and other vendors. Breakfast, lunch and dinner spots are steps from the front door and offer some of the best food around! The Shalin Liu Performance Center is also a short walk from the house. Front Beach, Back Beach and Old Garden Beach are all in walking distance, while Good Harbor Beach, and Long Beach are a short drive away.

Rockport is a walking town! Unless you require your car, I always suggest parking it and using it sparingly. Everything you need is a short walk from our door. (with the exception of a grocery store and liquor store)

MBTA Train station is a 15 minute walk from the house. There is a bus that can take you to many areas of Cape Ann (CATA transit), and there is also a trolley that runs from Dock square to Blue Gate lane (large public parking lot)

Bearskin Neck/ Downtown Rockport is very busy on the weekends. The peak hours are noon - 6:30 pm. If you are arriving or departing during this time frame, driving your car to the house is a slow ride due to many pedestrians walking down the one way street. If you can park downtown and make the short walk to the house, it is likely the easiest.

Dropping off and loading your belongings: Old Harbor Rd is a very short street. Look for the house with the Red Doors. The entrance to the apartment is on Middle Rd around the right side of the house. Please be brief when unloading and make sure not to block the road. Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Thirty percent (30.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 14 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
