Welcome to The Captain’s Quarters, a sun-filled two-bedroom retreat within the historic Sail Loft building on Bearskin Neck. Originally a bustling sail-making shop in the late 1800s, this beautifully restored space blends original details like exposed beams and maritime accents with thoughtful modern updates to ensure a comfortable stay.

Enjoy ocean breezes and natural sunlight streaming through the windows as you unwind just steps from Rockport’s best beaches, restaurants, and shops. Our prime location places you in the heart of it all—yet slightly tucked away, so you can relax and recharge after a day of exploring.

The Space

This charming and unique apartment offers:

Private 2nd Floor Apartment. You will climb one set of stairs to access the space.

Getting Here & Parking

🚆 The MBTA train station is a 15-minute walk away, providing easy access to Boston and beyond
🚌 CATA bus & trolley run throughout Cape Ann for convenient transportation
🚗 Bearskin Neck can be busy on weekends (12-6:30 PM).

There is no onsite parking. You may unload belongings in front of the house, but you must park elsewhere. 

Parking downtown and walking is the best and easiest option. After booking, you can check our house manual for parking tips. 

 

 

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Thirty percent (30.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 14 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
